Technically qualified volunteers repair the standard Library of Congress
tape players used by 3500 blind and physically handicapped persons in Kentucky.
The Studio repair shop is located in the Kentucky School for the Blind
on Frankfort Ave. in Louisville, Kentucky. The workshop volunteers
also repair Braille typewriters for students at the school and others as
requested. This repair activity has operated continuously since
1988, has received several awards for services to the community and has saved
Kentucky taxpayers thousands of dollars in repair cost during that period.
